After a number of years without the Centenary Cup our President, Rhona Alston, has resurrected it and this is her thank you to Adam Brown, Head Coach at Gleneagles Hotel.
“On behalf of Tennis Tayside I would just like to extend the most sincere and heartfelt thanks for allowing us to use your wonderful premises at Gleneagles today. Thank heavens it was not outdoors!
We had the loveliest of days with your happy, very capable coach Jonny Adamson. He was super efficient and everyone had lots of good tennis. It was also a nice social event with lots of table tennis and snooker during break times. Jonny kept it all going and the formula for 9 teams worked perfectly. It really did come down to a few games and the mixed doubles in the end. All left happy and I couldn’t have asked for a better venue.
1st place Scone, runners up West End and 3rd Montrose. Other placings were 4th St Andrews, 5th Broughty Ferry, 6th Dunning, 7th Falkland, 8th St Andrews Uni and 9th Arbroath.”
Congratulations to all who played and especially to the winners Scone.
