Perth Tennis Club held their 2012 Club Championships on Sunday, 30th September, with an event run by Head Coach, Craig Cameron, and his team. Club President, Derek Brown, said he was delighted that the club had hosted the biggest Championship he could remember in his 20 plus year relationship with the club.
Over 180 matches have been played over the past 4 weeks resulting in a fabulous Finals Day event for both juniors and adults, serving up some excellent tennis for the many spectators. Every event was catered for from Ladies Singles and Doubles, Men’s Singles and Doubles and Mixed, to lots of tournaments for the younger members including Under 8’s, Under 9’s, Under 10’s, Under 13’s and Under 17’s for both singles and doubles for all. Some juniors on show on Finals Day are some of the best players in the North of Scotland for their age group and provided a real treat for the crowds.
Perth Tennis Club is proud of continuing to grow its reputation for not only producing excellent junior players but being a family friendly club with members actively playing on a regular basis for all to join in, no matter your current level of tennis.
To promote this they have reduced their membership fees for the remainder of the year (to April 2013) to £60 for adults and reduced junior prices.
Far from slowing down for the Autumn Head Coach Craig has expanded his coaching programme with some exciting new events together with continuing all junior coaching which is currently available on 5 different days.
